Local writers Stephanie Hart, Betsy Robinson, Vicki Moss & Amy Lemmon will kick off the summer by reading their latest works in NYPL Summer Reading Club series. Hart will read from Mirror Mirror: A Collection of Memoirs and Stories, Robinson gets personal with Conversations with Mom: An Aging Baby Boomer, in Need of an Elder, Writes to Her Dead Mother, Moss will share from her fictionalized memoir Saving My Life and Lemmon will read from her collection of writings.

Stephanie Hart is the author of the recently published book, Mirror Mirror: A Collection of Memoirs and Stories described by Kirkus Reviews as a hopeful, finely rendered portrait of a dysfunctional family. Stephanie is the author of a Young Adult fiction novel, Is There Any Way Out of Sixth Grade? Her essays and short stories have appeared in anthologies such as Mondo James Dean, The Best Stories from ducts.org, and literary magazines including The Sun, Jewish Currents, And Then, and ducts.org. She teaches at The Fashion Institute of Technology and Parsons The New School for Design.
Myrna Nieves is a writer, cultural activist and educator. She has published the books Libreta de sueños (narraciones); Viaje a la lluvia, poemas. She also co-authored/co-edited Tripartita: Earth, Dreams, Powers; Moradalsur; the anthology of fiction Mujeres como islas; and the anthology of poetry Mujeres como islas II. poemas. Her work has been included in various anthologies and literary magazines. Her awards include a Literary Award of the PEN Club of Puerto Rico and Outstanding Latina of the United States by El Diario La Prensa. Nieves is a founding member and full professor at Boricua College, where she was director for twenty years of its Winter Poetry Series.
Robert Roth is the author of Health Proxy and the co-creator of And Then Magazine.
